I wouldn't know it was supposed to be a robot nurse unless you told me. The red cross is a good start, but that can also be explained as just being its eye. Maybe the needle needs to be more syringe-like, or that arm could almost be like a swiss army knife with foreceps, tongue depressors, syringes, scissors and things like that coming out. Maybe a panel in the front would have a big roll of bandages; almost like a printer with a jam.
I like how pill-like the overall shape is. Maybe you can play that up more?
