Halp, halp

Can someone confirm that this looks okay?

It's big, so click here.

I'm redesigning my site and I wanted to make her the sitemap. Her attributes will be the different parts of the site (which I'll label). I haven't shown this to anyone yet and I'm dying to know if it's okay.
I've been on a mad Durga kick. That's just how I roll: I have one thing I draw obsessively for like 2 months, and then I move on.

It looks pretty good to me. The only problem I see is for her lower right hand (our lower left) and arm. The hand holding the quill looks a bit strange, just in the way it's bent and angled. The forearm would have to twist more or something, or you would just see more of the back of the hand rather than the palm. He elbow also hits the edge of that circle pretty dead-on; it's not a huge deal, but a little space between the two elements would help it move more. Hope this helps.

The overall drawing is good. I agree with James comments on the quill hand. The looser drawing in the picture frame this woman is holding I think has a lot more expression and character. I would also recommend you do an actual hand coloring of this piece and see the differences between the two(computer vs. brush). The gradient/smudge/computer coloring tools kind of distract me. i think a bit more practice using the computer as a coloring tool will help before setting it up on your web-site.
There is an inconsistency of a light source and control of the wacom pencil. There seems to be a light source set up directly on the subject but there is a shadow on the nose...things light that.

Pt A - I fixed her hand, thanks. You both are right.

Pt B - Edwin, you totally called my bluff, and that's awesome. I was halfway through coloring it when I realized I didn't have a direct light source and I was like ehh, I don't think anyone will notice. But point taken, and I made the shading a lot more consistent.
I know what you're saying about my coloring, as well. I've seriously just started getting into it, but I wanted this particular thing to be colored on computer because I wanted a fairly smooth look, whereas I find if I scan stuff I hand color, it tends to look choppy or "skippy." Plus I was coloring with a mouse, booo. But I just got a hold of a drawing tablet and I re-colored it, it hopefully should be a bit better now.

Ha, a bit??? I'm sure you're finding A LOT with a WACOM. Not everyone will notice a light source, but professionals that will hire you will :) And caring and thinking about that separates the pros from the amateurs....
It's nice to color on computr and you have a good color sense which lead to my strong opinion. Looking forward to the reworked colors and inks...
